It is with deep sadness that Eurogas learnt about the passing of its former President, Klaus Schäfer, on 26 August 2020 after a two-year fight with cancer. Klaus Schäfer was the President of Eurogas from 2016 to 2018.
“Klaus Schäfer achieved the success any leader could wish for: deepest respect and highest recognition from his colleagues and industry peers. He earned this with his outstanding personality, dedication to work and compassion for people,” said Eurogas President Philippe Sauquet.
“Knowing Klaus was an honour. He was a man of high integrity and character, who had an exceptional ability to achieve business goals while keeping a genuinely humble, optimistic, and respectful personality. Together with the Eurogas team, I send our deepest condolences to Klaus Schäfer’s family,” added Eurogas Secretary General James Watson.
