Lars Mårtensson

Lars Mårtensson is Environment and Innovation Director at Volvo Trucks. He has been with Volvo for almost three decades. In his present position at Volvo Trucks, he is responsible for environment and innovation strategies. Volvo Trucks has during this time period presented the first CO2-neutral automotive production plant in the world, 7 trucks adapted for seven different renewable fuel alternatives, unique gas-powered trucks, a full range of electric trucks and future plans for hydrogen trucks.

He was during seven years the chairman of the Swedish network Climate Neutral Freight Transports. Then for six years he was the chairman of Swedish Life Cycle center, a joint collaboration platform for universities, industries, research institutes and government agencies. He was also during two years member of the board of the Swedish Gas Association.
