Gabriel Andronache

Since 23 April 2023, Mr. Gabriel Andronache has served as Vice President of the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).

From December 2021 to April 2023, he held the position of Chairman of the Management Board of the National Power Grid Company-Transelectrica.

Mr. Gabriel Andronache has extensive managerial experience in the administrative, public, and private sectors, as well as in the energy industry. He was also a member of the stock exchange listing committees for several strategic companies in Romania’s energy sector, including Transgaz, Nuclearelectrica, and Romgaz. His expertise in the energy industry is further reflected in his service on the supervisory boards of several companies operating across the electricity value chain. Mr. Andronache served as a member of the Board of Directors of Electrica S.A. (2013), a member of the Board of Directors of Enel Distribuție Banat S.A. (2014–2015), and a member of the Supervisory Board of Hidroelectrica S.A., Bucharest (2017–2019).

Holding a degree in Law, Gabriel Andronache graduated from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Police Academy in Bucharest. He subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Public Law and Administrative Sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, as well as the National Defence College programme in Security and Good Governance (2014).
