Location: Brussels, Belgium
Hours: Full time
Contract terms: The position will be offered under a Convention d’immersion professionnelle. It is a fixed-term contract of six months, starting 19 January 2026, with the possibility of renewal for an additional six months. The internship is remunerated in line with the standards of European Institutions internships, ensuring competitive compensation. Benefits include holidays (number of days depending on the internship duration), meal vouchers with a face value of €8 per worked day, and a transport allowance.
About Eurogas:
Eurogas is an association of over one hundred organisations across Europe, the US and Japan, spanning the entire length of the gases value chain. Its members cover wholesale and retail gas markets, the distribution of natural, renewable and low carbon gases and their derivatives and the use of gases in transport, heating and other end-use sector.
Eurogas is committed to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality through dialogue and advocacy on optimising the use of gases. Together with its members it produces research, responds to consultations, provides input to studies, analyses the impact of EU political and legislative initiatives, and communicates key findings to EU stakeholders. An established structure of expertise ensures that Eurogas’ views are defined and endorsed by experts in the energy field.
We advocate for an approach ensuring an environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable energy transition guaranteeing Security of Supply. With appropriate incentives in place, EU gas demand can be fully decarbonised already before 2050.
Eurogas is looking for one intern to support its events activities. The internship could also involve supporting the comms team on ad hoc basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the planning and coordination of Eurogas events, including internal meetings, research, workshops, conferences, webinars
- Assist with logistical arrangements such as venue search, catering, invitations, registration, and onsite support.
- Help maintain and update event-related communication materials (agendas, briefing notes, website, participant lists, checklists).
- Support coordination with speakers, members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
- Attend and assist during events, taking notes, managing sign-ins, and providing support to the Eurogas team and participants.
- Contribute to post-event follow-up activities including feedback collection, reporting, and documentation.
- Support coordination of member surveys and results analysis.
- Help maintain database up to date
- Provide general support to the Communications when events are linked to advocacy or dissemination goals, including drafting of our Molecules newsletter.
What we are looking for:
- Strong interest in event coordination and communications, ideally with some prior experience in a similar role (internship or academic project).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player with a hands-on attitude.
- Comfortable supporting both logistical and content-related aspects of events, and able to take initiative on smaller projects.
- Familiarity with digital platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms); experience with hybrid or online event formats is a plus.
- Familiarity with design tools (ex. Canva) is a plus
- Familiarity with website content management is a plus
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); French or other EU languages are an asset.
- Understanding of or interest in EU institutions and policymaking is a plus.
- Understanding of or interest in the gas sector is a plus.
- Brussels based; eligible to work in the EU*
