Diana Barglazan

Since January 2017, Diana Barglazan works in the Directorate General of Energy, at the European Commission. She worked in the Energy Efficiency unit, then in the Chief Economist unit, where she coordinated the work of the finance team, and since December 2022 she is team leader in the unit in charge of the relationship with the Member States and with the Energy Community, focussing on the work with the Member States. She is also country coordinator on energy matters for Romania and Malta. 

Previously she worked in DG Competition, on State aid for energy and environmental protection.  

Before joining the European Commission, Diana worked at the Faculty of Management in Production and Transport, at the Politehnica University of Timisoara (Romania), where she was teaching economics and finance. Diana has a PhD in International Economics and Finance.
