Building on the success of last year’s Central and Eastern European conference held in Prague, Eurogas in cooperation with Geoplin is organising a 2nd edition. This year’s conference, held in Ljubljana, Slovenia will address the internal gas market and, more specifically, the question: “How to increase security and competitiveness in Central and Eastern Europe”.

As the energy world changes at a rapid pace, the gas industry is also innovating and constantly evolving. One area of prominence is the increasing use of smarter grids that can accommodate new energy sources, technologies and services, as well as giving the customer greater control of their energy use.
Discussions will focus on the regulatory conditions required to achieve smart gas grids; the technologies emerging; and how they can be used to benefit consumers.
The workshop will bring together industry representatives, policy makers, associations, distribution and transmission system operators to debate and develop answers that will be helpful to those who have to take relevant decisions.
Registration is now closed.

The Eurogas Annual Conference 2015 will be held on 3 March at The Hotel, Brussels.
This year’s annual conference will focus on the consumer at the centre of the energy system. The conference will present a broad overview of the changing landscape for energy in terms of consumer behaviour and technologies, while demonstrating how gas serves an integrated energy system.
Through keynote speeches and interactive panel discussions with leading industry experts we will seek to show how all energy sources, including gas, can and should work together to the benefit of the consumer.
