GERG 8th Annual Young Researchers' Competition


GERG, the European Gas Research Group, invites young researches to participate at its 8th Young Researchers’ Competition of post-graduate research projects in the field of renewable or other low-carbon gas. Successful participants will be invited to the GERG Award Event on 27 October in Brussels, which will take place on the sidelines of the Eurogas Annual Conference. The GERG Award Event promotes interaction on research and development topics and strengthens links between selected universities and the European gas industry’s research centres.

R-Gas: The (R)evolution to a Sustainable Energy System

This workshop is jointly organised by CEDEC, Eurogas, European Biogas Association, Gas Infrastructure Europe, GEODE, GERG, Hydrogen Europe, Marcogaz and NGVA Europe. This event will aim to raise awareness of the role of renewable gas and secure a deeper understanding on the centrality of gaseous energy in a long term viable and sustainable energy system, in the context of current debate surrounding the Renewable Energy Directive.

This workshop will also demonstrate the broad support of industry for renewable gas. A joint letter from nine co-signing associations will also be presented.

4th International Conference on Renewable Energy Gas Technology, REGATEC 2017
