COGEN Europe invites you to its Annual Conference and Gala Awards Dinner "The Power of Heat" on 5-6 June 2018 in Brussels. This event is the largest of the cogeneration sector in Europe and is the opportunity to discuss the latest trends from the energy world in the presence of industry representatives, policymakers and other key stakeholders. Questions at the centre of discussions will be how to decarbonise our power and heating system in an efficient and cost-effective way and the role of cogeneration in achieving Europe's climate and energy goals.
This year, COGEN Europe celebrates its 25th anniversary! This will take place in the presence of representatives from the European Institutions, national associations, the cogeneration industry and stakeholders from the energy sector. On Tuesday 5 June, you are welcome to the Gala Awards Dinner and Cocktail in Chalet Robinson, where the COGEN Europe Recognition Awards will be handed out to individuals and organisations with remarkable achievements in developing, applying and promoting cogeneration.

Launch of the report on Flexibility for the energy transition: a toolbox for electricity and gas DSOs
Join us for the launch event where we will present our joint report – on Electricity and Gas Flexibility – providing a holistic approach on how DSOs can use flexibility and thus contribute to the transition towards decarbonisation, and a set of solutions enabling DSOs for operating grids in a cost-efficient way. The report offers a sound overview to policy makers on how the regulatory framework should be adapted to facilitate and reward the use of flexibility by DSOs and other stakeholders.
The report also brings forward solutions for flexibility issues of DSOs, technologies available to get the needed flexibility services to system operators, together with alternative ways to acquire these services.
This event will take place on 27 February 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00, followed by a Networking Lunch
Venue: The Office, rue d'Arlon 80, Brussels
